Step-by-Step Admission Process

Confirm Your Eligibility

Applicants must hold a recognised Bachelor's degree (any stream) from an accredited university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved category candidates, as per NCTE norms). Final-year graduation students may also apply provisionally.

Appear for the Maharashtra B.Ed. CET

Admission to all B.Ed. colleges in Maharashtra is governed by the Maharashtra B.Ed. Common Entrance Test (CET), conducted by the state government. Candidates must register for and appear in the Maharashtra B.Ed. CET to be eligible for admission. Details and registration are available on the official Maharashtra B.Ed. CET portal.

Participate in the Centralised Admission Process (CAP)

Based on your CET score, you will be called for Centralised Admission Process (CAP) rounds managed by the state authority. During CAP, you may indicate K M Asghar Husain College of Education, Akola as your preferred institution. Seat allotment is made on the basis of merit, category, and availability.

Report for Document Verification

Once a seat is allotted, you must report to the college within the prescribed time window for in-person document verification and confirmation of admission. Bring all original certificates and self-attested photocopies.

Pay Fees & Confirm Enrolment

Complete fee payment as per the university-approved fee structure. Your enrolment in the two-year B.Ed. programme is confirmed upon payment and submission of all required documents.

Secondary Education

Schools & Junior College Admissions

Admissions for all seven Urdu-medium secondary schools and the K M Asghar Husain Junior College are managed directly by each institution. The process is straightforward — designed to be accessible for all families in the community.

Admission Process

Visit the School Office

Parents and guardians are warmly invited to visit the office of the school they wish to apply to — located across various neighbourhoods in Akola. School offices are open Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Staff will provide you with the application form and guide you through the process in person.

Collect & Complete the Application Form

Obtain the admission application form from the school office. Fill in all required student and guardian details accurately. Forms are available in Urdu and Marathi. No online form submission is currently required — all applications are processed in person.

Submit Required Documents

Submit the completed form along with the required supporting documents (see checklist below). All original documents must be brought for verification; self-attested photocopies will be retained by the school.

Confirmation & Fee Payment

Once documents are verified and the application is approved, admission is confirmed upon payment of the school fees as per the Maharashtra State Board-approved fee structure. The school office will issue an official receipt and provide details of the commencement of the academic year.

Note for Junior College (Class 11 & 12) Admission to the K M Asghar Husain Junior College is subject to the student's SSC board results and the availability of seats in the chosen stream. Eligibility criteria are as per the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. Please contact the Junior College office directly for stream-wise seat availability.

The Jan Shikshan Sansthan operates on an open-enrolment model. Unlike formal degree programmes, JSS vocational courses have no strict minimum educational qualifications. Courses are available to anyone who wishes to learn a livelihood skill — regardless of prior schooling, age, or academic background.

Enrolment is accepted throughout the academic year. Batches are formed on a rolling basis as seats fill up. To join, simply walk into the JSS office in Akola — bring a valid ID and a photograph, and our team will guide you through the rest.
