The Urdu Education Society Akola has always understood that its responsibility does
not end at the school gate. For over six decades, the Society has served the
wider Vidarbha region through alumni engagement, professional development,
cultural programmes, and grassroots social upliftment — because education is
most powerful when it ripples outward into the community it serves.
Since 1960, thousands of students have passed through the doors of the Urdu Education
Society Akola's schools and colleges. They are our most powerful testimony — not
because of what they achieved within our walls, but because of what they have gone
on to do in the world beyond them.
Our alumni are educators who teach in classrooms across Maharashtra, administrators
who serve in government and public institutions, professionals who have built careers
in healthcare, law, business, and civil service, and community leaders who have
taken the values instilled here into every corner of Vidarbha's social fabric.
Many of our B.Ed. graduates have gone on to become the teachers in the very
schools that shaped them — completing a circle of service that defines this Society.
They are not merely former students. They are the Society's ambassadors, its
advocates, and its most enduring legacy.
"The Society gave me more than a degree — it gave me a sense of purpose. The values I developed here
have guided every decision I have made as an educator and as a person."

"Usman Azad Urdu High School taught me to be proud of my language and my heritage
while preparing me for a competitive world. That balance is rare, and I am grateful for it."

At the K M Asghar Husain College of Education, our responsibility to students does
not end with a degree certificate. The Placement and Career Guidance Cell ensures
that every graduate has the support, preparation, and connections to enter the
profession with confidence.
K M Asghar Husain College of Education
Placement & Career Guidance Cell
Teaching is one of the most competitive and rewarding professions in India.
Our Placement Cell exists to bridge the gap between graduating with a B.Ed.
and successfully entering the classroom as a qualified professional. We work
proactively — not reactively — to ensure our graduates are ready, visible,
and sought-after.
The Cell maintains active relationships with schools and educational institutions
across Akola and the broader Vidarbha region — creating referral networks, sharing
vacancy information, and facilitating introductions that translate into employment
outcomes for our graduates.
Interview Preparation
Mock interviews, panel practice sessions, and individual coaching on presentation, subject knowledge, and professional communication — preparing graduates for competitive school recruitment processes.
Career Counselling
One-on-one career guidance sessions helping graduates identify the right schools, streams, and career pathways — including government teacher recruitment, private institutions, and further study options.

Empowering the Marginalised: JSS Outreach
The Jan Shikshan Sansthan, Akola is the Society's most direct expression of its
commitment to social upliftment. Established in 2008 under the Ministry of Skill
Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India, it reaches those whom
the formal education system has too often left behind.
Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship
Skills That Change Lives. Opportunities That Were Never There Before.
The JSS exists because the Society recognises a truth that numbers make clear:
formal education reaches only a fraction of those who need it. There are adults
in every neighbourhood who left school early, women who were never given the
opportunity to develop professional skills, and young people who fell through
the gaps of a system not built for them. The Jan Shikshan Sansthan is built precisely for them.
Through livelihood-linked vocational training — in tailoring, computer literacy,
beauty and wellness, home-based enterprise, and more — JSS gives its participants
not just a skill, but the economic agency that comes with it. For women in
particular, a skill learned at JSS can mean the beginning of financial
independence. For a school dropout, it can mean the start of a viable career.
For a family living on a marginal income, it can change everything.
Who We Serve
Women & Homemakers
Enabling financial independence and economic participation through marketable skill training, with flexible schedules that respect domestic responsibilities.
Out-of-School Youth & School Dropouts
Providing a second pathway for young people who left formal education early — building skills, confidence, and a route to sustainable employment.
Neo-Literates & Adult Learners
Combining foundational literacy support with practical vocational training — so that learning a skill becomes, at the same time, a re-entry into the world of education.
Rural & Disadvantaged Communities
Targeted outreach to communities in and around Akola that are underserved by mainstream education and employment infrastructure.
